  • A Studebaker or Trophy Wife?

Which do you think would end up costing the most? (...my 64 GT R2 Hawk is costing me a fortune...but I anticipated that from the git-go!...and I can't take it with me, so: spend, spend, spend)

Well...one thing, the GT will haul YOU around...and there is this tiny thing called a KEY, that you can use to shut it off!

I got both, sorta. Hawk is a '63. The trophy wife is a '48 and takes precedence. And a bigger budget.....

I have a customer who is finishing up a 57 Golden Hawk for his trophy wife, so both can be costly!

A car doesn't talk back. A woman does!

A wife does keep you in check. But thinking of some of the cars I could have had but don't.....hmmmm.

When you get mad at, or can't afford, the GT Hawk... You can lock it in the garage.

I'd rather be driving my Studebaker!

Wives and Studebakers are the same in this respect: Get a bad one and you will be miserable, get a good one and it cannot be beat!

I oughta know I have had two so far....one of each type. The current one (for 39 years now) is a keeper!
