  • '63 Daytona Trunk lid starred on the Today Show this morning

The whole Today Show gang was in Iowa this morning for the caucuses. They were in a big store that had all sorts of things. The camera focused on a trunk lid on a table. Al Roker identified it as a '63 Studebaker Daytona trunk lid which it did look like.

If it WAS a '63 Daytona it would also be for a Cruiser, Regal or Custom Lark.
Possibly needing the Emblem changed to a Lark Bird instead of a V8 if used on a 6 Cyl. Lark.

Doesn't the Daytona have the wide piece of stainless trim on the bottom edge?

Yes, but I believe that even the Regal used that trim.

I think so too. Looks like it was from a 6 cylinder car due to missing the chrome V & gold 8.

              The '62 Lark Sixes had a V "S" Emblem just like a '54 or '55.
