  • 1959 2 door wagon

I just purchased another Stude. A 59 2 door Lark wagon. What were the production numbers for that model that year? I was told one time around 600. I had been looking for one for 3 or 4 years now and finally found one. Will share pictures once I can go pick it up. Thanks.

It depends on if it is a regal or a deluxe and also if it is a 6 or V8.

The 100,000th Lark was a Tahiti Coral 59 Regal Lark Station Wagon with V8 and Overdrive. Between the 6 and 8 Regal or Deluxe models, there were more than 600 wagons built. In 59, around 98,000 total cars built that were 6's with 32,000 8's all models. I was seven at the time with my dad at the dealership in Phoenix when he bought a Deluxe 6 4 door. It seemed at that time cars were moving quickly out of the dealership that day in April 1959.

Or, a Green '60 2 Door Wagon, you have to add the Two-Tone since they were not available.
It's already Lowered, so you can't use it for a Truck.

Isn't that the Champion in Long Beach? I fear to think what the dealer is asking for that car! yeah, I'd love to have it! Hell, I'd love for Bess to just look that good! Yeah, well, the green '60 wagon is already half ready. All I'd have to do is repair the suspension and paint the sides dark green.Click image for larger version

The eBay Ad from the Link I posted says Harbor City, not quite as far South and East as Long Beach.

It was in Redondo Beach about a year ago when we last looked at it buy a Owner, now a Dealer is selling it. All South Bay Area of Southwest L.A. my home stomping grounds.

Rich, whenever I see an ad on Craig's list that has, "call for details," including price, I assume it's too much money. Well, for me anyway.
My "stomping grounds" consisted of Orange County, Riverside County, Southeastern Los Angeles, and the Valley. I went into Rolling Hills Estates (an equestrian community, go figure) and Long Beach for the Wilform Sulky Works (now out of business). Also worked in Seal Beach for four years at the Naval Weapons station. L.A. County is someplace I went out of my way to avoid. too much city around there for me.

I also got a 59 2 door wagon. Restoration was started 20 years ago. Striped down and new rear quarters installed. V8 auto, padded dash. At this time, a body shell on a rolling chassey. Plan on having it finished by the 2017 IN meet.

Well there's a switch. usually they slowly deteriorate over twenty years. This one is slowly improving! Keep at it. I hope you make your goal.

My, my, Sal. Aren't we demanding. LOL, even though I agree... Pictures would be nice. Speaking of which, how's your '56 coming along?

Ron, I guess to me, its not a real car till I can see the pictures. I know my wagon was not real to me until I could see the pictures of it. I know I could picture it in my mind, but once it was seen in all its digital glory, it became more real.
And BTW, of course I'm just kidding.
