  • New Category...."Creek Find"

    http://slo.craigslist.org/cto/5371473060.html

I'm new owner to property in SLO.
While clearing the creek I found a 1950-51 Champion 1/2 buried with driver side exposed.
Lots of chrome, hinges, quarter deck.

This is a project that will take work, sweat and friends! You can pick and choose. The whole car does not need to go away!

Put a battery in it and see if it fires up.

      Looks like a 1950.

Lets see if someone can solve the Mystery.

SLO = South Lower Oregon? Or Southern Lodi?

OPPS, you can't look at the Craigslist Ad, that's cheating! There is no more helpful info there than here anyway.

When I bought my 5 acres I found the body of a 1950 Champion 4 door in the trees and tall grass.
It looks like it was in very nice condition (when my uncle said) the owner took it apart to make a trailer out of the frame. I found one of the headlight buckets buried in the dirt while mowing the grass, and it still has all the black paint on it.

Unlike most "sellers," the nice thing with this one is you don't have to take the whole thing. Most of the time they read, "Won't part out."
