"1953 Studebaker Convertible 2 seater custom car. V-8 car with 3 speed on the floor and overdrive transmission and continental kit. All Studebaker drive train. It has a double frame under the car, doors shut perfect. The car was supposed to be built the Shrock Brothers in 1959 according to the individual I purchased it from in 1997."

Is this the same car that was at the International Meet in South Bend in 1997? I believe I saw it there...

I totally agree. You just can't improve the original 53, and I sure hate to see people mess up the best looking car by trying.
