    We've all seen worse:

Why repaint or restore it? Chrome the bumpers, freshen the interior, do some light mechanicals and enjoy...it's already got a battery hold-down, for Pete's sake, so you're halfway home to having the perfect driver and cruise Studebaker! BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

    Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

I agree with you. That car would get lots of attention just like it sits. No need to do much to enjoy it.

This one would make a good stable mate to my Maui Blue Land Cruiser. A little upholstery work, chrome, correct engine paint, and you're good to go. Adding an overdrive...even better!

Yes, that's a nice car as is.

What's the black thing above the door pull on the interior picture?

That's a place where the cloth upholstery is worn away.
