    Ron Johnson has owned that 1956 Golden Hawk since 1970, per Jim's recollection below.

    Ron bought that in 1970 from non other than Bob kaptyen. Ron was my shop teacher at Guilford High School in Rockford. He also has a 1941 Ryan PT-22 that he restored, (same type as Harrison Ford crashed) Ron also has a 1955 Harley Davidson race bike (one of 50) built for the street, and at this point is the only one known to still move under it's own power.
    He is also about to complete street legal race car.
    Ron IS one of a kind and the reason that I ended up playing with Studebakers.
