  • Two Tone Larks

As most folks will know, Studebaker did not produce any two tone Larks (or Lark types) excluding a few models with white or black vinyl tops (excluding special orders of course ). I am looking for some two tone ideas - especially for a '64 - '66 sedan. If you have a photo or two of a 2 tone vehicle, please share. Thanks in advance!

Mark the only one that really works well is the Roof only using the '65-'66 Daytona and '66 Cruiser "C" Pillar Mouldings and Caps.

Usually the sides are easy to separate the Colors but what gets weird looking sometimes are the Front and Rear Color breaks that people try and just do not work.

Where would you break it on the rear of a '66?

64-66 Lark types can and do look nice one color below / one color above the body side mouldings.

I would look for Y3 ex-cop car in standard black with white doors and roof. Then you'll really have something!!

Here's one example of what I was talking about... this nice '63 is listed F/S in Az.

Did you see these threads? They're old, but there are a couple of examples still visible.

There is a '63 wagon that is currently up for sale with a white and blue two paint job but I don't see it on google for some reason. His photos show up on the Facebook Studebaker group often though.

My Dad's '65 Wagonaire has the roof painted Laguna Blue(I think) to match the interior, the rest is white. Not sure when it was done, maybe '72. I think it looks good and I plan on keeping it the same color combo.

My 1962 Lark was grey with a white top (just the top, not the pillars) and had a white interior. It was a nice look

But those Paint Lines just don't work for me, if anything should be Two Toned it would only be the Sliding Portion of the Roof, NOT the sides of it.

The Break lines around the Grille could be a lot better, also the Rear ones are terrible, but then again leaving it alone in monotone is still Best.
