Wow, I thought I was the only one! The early Lark design is so endearing but I also dislike the stainless trim on the '61 but dig the "eyebrow" treatment. I realize it was done to update the look of the design but what were they thinking? I've thought about trying to utilize the "eyebrow" on my 59 but hate to take away from it's original design. I also am not a fan of the Chevy Corvair type double headlight bezels which were a fashionable option in '61 although it appears most people did pony up for that option.

I'll post a few of my more favorite Larks (not mine)
I own a 61 Lark VIII 2 door sedan that I am looking to restore/modify.
I will keep it all Studebaker but with some modern touches.Paul Johnson, Wild and Wonderful West Virginia.

Oh good, I get to post some photos of my Lark. The Little Old Lady, from St. Petersburg FL.
If interested, here is some history, posted back in 2013.
Love the proportions, in the front overhang.
Bob Munter's shop is the best. I like to travel from Atlanta to his shop every couple of years. He goes over the car and keeps it in tip-top shape.
My Wife & I make a vacation out of it. Great bunch of guys.
W.C.D. Garage , 44 West Main St Northborough, MA
Always fun to see what other Studes are in the shop, or getting restoration services.

Here's my retirement project.
My 60 Lark, 2dr. wagon with a documented 23+ thousand miles on it.
C4 Vette front suspension, Ford 9" in the back with a 4 link suspension. A 383 Chevy, and a Turbo 200-4R with a trans. brake. And despite having skinny front tires on it now, a full 9' wide wheel/tire (like the original Vette wheel's offset) will fit without hitting anything.
Have lots'a floor work left to do, finish the inner fender wells and put it together. Still has the original paint on it.Last edited by Mike Van Veghten; 10-04-2015, 07:35 PM.
