  • Flea market find...

    Over the weekend my wife I visited a local flea market and I found this Studebaker dealer promotional yardstick. The dealer is Zacharias Motors which I believe was located in Pennsylvania. Since their phone number is only four digits, I'm guessing this is from the 1950s during the days when human operators were the norm and many households had party lines. I remember those days and it wasn't until the late '50s or early '60s when my home got the seven-digit phone number, which instead of all numbers, the first two characters were alphabet letters short for a proper name.
