  • TV Show looking for Red 50's Studebaker's

We have been contacted by a producer looking for Red Studebaker's to be featured in a TV show.
This is a PAID opportunity, the car would be owner-driven in the shoot and it is for ONE day of work in October 2015.

The TV Show will feature a RED Studebaker in each of the following cities:

    Crossett, AR
Alexandria, Glen Allen & Midlothian, VA
    Meridian, ID
    Gainsville & Ocala, FL
    St. George, UT
    Callao, MO
    Hillsboro, TN
    Elk Grove & Redding, CA
    Duluth & Wilmar, MN
    Greenville, SC
    Cleveland, OH
    Kirkland, WA
    Longview, TX

    Harleysville, PA

Stock, or modified cars (not trucks) they will need a photo submitted and will pick the 1st nice one they like for each city.

This is a PAID opportunity AND will give more Studebaker exposure to many people!

    Thanks,
    James

Anybody know of a good deal on some resale Red Automotive Enamel?

Wow, what are the chances they can find 18 Red '50's Studebakers in THOSE Cities? Talk about a needle in a haystack, they're gonna end up with Chevy's.

It seems odd that the 18 would not match, hauling ONE across the country makes more sense.

I thought in the 50's you could get a Studebaker in any color, as long as it was Black..

Too bad for me, I think Santa would look good in a red 1964 convertible.

Well...my Red Studebaker is a 1948. My 51 Studebaker is blue. My 55 Studebaker is green. With decent computer skills...any Studebaker could be red. Heck, they went back and made old black & white films "Color."

With the proper technology and skill...shouldn't be too tough to make any Studebaker appear red.

Well, they did say loosely "driving distance", not defined by milage so I suppose Elk Grove California is drivable from NY depending on your stamina.

Well so is Pa. but, they do not want a truck. I guess they do not like trucks.

When I got this notice from Larry Swanson, I realized that I do not know of red 50s Studebakers in our area. There are some later models. One of our members does have a maroon 1950 4 door, but it is not running at this time.

They are prefer candy apple red and not dark red (probably due to nightime lighting).

The possible Studebaker exposure from these cars is huge -
