  • In need of valves for champion six.

Hi, does anyone have any valves for sale for my champion six engine. I will need a whole set of 12.

Have you tried Studebakers West in Redwood City, CA, or Studebaker International in Indiana?

I think I have what you need in stainless. Will check and let you know.

I believe any Studebaker vendor will have these and also if you go to an old time parts store with old stock you might be surprised.

Sorry, the ones I have are for the overhead six. They carry a different part number so assume these would not work.

You didn't mention how far into the engine you've gone, but while in there, check the valve guides and lifter bores. I've seldom seen a Champion which needed valves which didn't also need new guides and oversize lifters.

Also, as much as a Champion has to work to pull around the later cars/trucks, it's also a candidate for hard exhaust seats.

I've got 5 NOS - but somewhat rusty - intake valves someone could have for the cost of postage on a SMALL Priority Mail Flat Rate box. They would work just fine with just a few seconds encounter with a wire wheel.
No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.
