I have to plead guilty to selfishness. There was an auction of about a dozen cars in my area, 8 of which were Studebakers. Here's a link.

    http://www.clum.com/nov0307/pp2/twp1.htm

I knew there would be competition, didn't want to add to it.
The Studes sold in this order

    52 two door Champion, $425
    55 Commander Coupe $475
    57 3/4 ton truck $225
    49 four door Champion $225
    62 Black GT Hawk $1050
    55 President State $650
    63 Yellow GT Hawk $700
63 GT Hawk, a true project, all parts off. $1850

I got the State, wanted the 55 coupe, but there was too much wrong for that money.

I also got two (once) NOS front fenders for my State. The interior will need complete replacement, and it will need some mechanical work. And of course body & paint. Long time project, but will be a great road car.

Here's Ike in his new home

The truck has a Scotsman hood on it and looks like it was covered with house paint (that is now peeling). Looks like he got more than $225 in parts. Given its ground clearance, it may have fewer "bottom-side" issues that the others that had sunk into the ground.

As I left he had just gotten the front end on a dolly (no comments please) and was concerned that the rear wheels didn't seem to be turning. Heading back to Indiana this afternoon.

I was wondering the make and model of this one is:

Is it a stude? I'm not good at pre-war era.
                It has some sweet lines.

                Best Regards,

Where the roads don't freeze over and the heat doesn't kill you.
And an open road is yours to have -only during non-commute rush hours 9am-4pm and 7pm to 7am (Ha, ha, ha)
                55 Speedster "Lemon/Lime" (Beautiful)
55 President State Sedan (Rusty original, but runs great and reliable)

If you are referring to the truck in the picture, I do not think it is a '57 3/4 ton as advertised. Looks like it has only 5 bolt wheels the parking lights in the grill and the chrome on the doors say "'59" to me. I agree that it looks like a Scotman hood, but definitely a "Transtar" grill!
