  • I love this toy - 1953

This car comes from the French comic of the 1950s, "Spirou". I don't read French, but I sure love this little car! That big thing sticking up is supposed to be an antenna. I think there are two gendarmes in the front and a little dog in back. Update: I did some checking and I think the two people in the front are Spirou and Fantasio (two reporters) and the animal in back is probably their pet squirrel, "Spip".

As far as I know the copyright on this is long expired.

Cute! I don't read french, but I think that base plate says "The Dictator and the Champion"

Ironic or not, that both those are model names of Studebakers???[:0]

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Dave, I don't speak French, but I get the feeling that your comment is poking a little fun at the French, no?
