  • Trying to find a specific Avanti picture on the forum.

    Joe, use the search engine.

Type Avanti in the search box and then click on the little magnifying glass icon.

Now, lots of threads are going to show up due to that word being so common here, so you'll just have to start clicking on them and scanning for the photo you know you are looking for. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

    G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

                My 63

I don't know if this is the picture you saw. This is one of the few gold 63's with an orange interior.

Both the front and the rear are too high and the Gold is wrong to be a correct restoration.

The stance looks good to me and probably would meet the factory specs. for bottom of bumper to ground dimensions.

There is way too much space in the top of the wheel wells.
                        Compare this:

Even after you visualize where the invisible Top of the Tire would be, I think it is a bit high.

REALLY Rich, what gives with You . I don't see anything jump out in a negative way with the stance,as for color I can't be sure either in the pic - but You must have the eyes of a twenty year old.can You show Me where Stuart claims too have restored this "as You say in-correct Avanti" for Concourse or the like, good greif Charlie Brown.I think this example makes the grade staight through !!!!

I think the difference is solely in the fact you can't see the top of the wheels. Please prove me wrong...

The Avanti has not been restored. It was equipped with coil over shocks when I took the pics. I replaced the shocks this year with a set of standard ones. Can't say the stance is much different now. Some time during its life someone replaced the carpets with solid black in place of the red/black ones and repainted with what I believe is a GM color. looks better with the black mats with the orange interior. The car is a 10 footer work in progress.
