Thanks for posting this, Bob A.
This is really good publicity for Studebaker in general.
I don't know why, but I have yet to make it up to that show.
I do keep busy. Just this afternoon, I got an invitation to a clam bake on Sept. 13. The problem is that is the date of the Northeast Zone Meet in CT and a church dinner, both of which I plan on attending and the start of my high school reunion three days that I am on the committee for.Gary L.

Really, does anyone see ANYTHING on that thing that even slightly resembles a M Series Studebaker?
It's some mighty fine work and quite unique, but it appears every single Stude. piece has been "reshaped".
Maybe the windshield is stock outer dimension?
He could have put that modified M Series Instrument Cluster on a '37 Ford Pickup and the look would be almost the same.Last edited by StudeRich; 08-08-2014, 12:29 PM.StudeRich

Gary- This show is far and away my FAVORITE event of the year. The entire 365 acres of the NYS Fairgrounds usually gets every nook and cranny filled with vehicles. All types of entertainment, seminars, celebrities, major and minor industry manufacturers' displays. Also a big swap meet with all types of cars and parts. It starts on Thursday with a free picnic at Oneida Shores for all registered participants. I go for every minute starting Thursday except leave for the races Sat. afternoon.
This year they had visitors from 30 states. I would recommend it to anybody from ANYWHERE- certainly to a guy just a few hours downstateProud NON-CASO

We had a long chat with Mike and Dave and a close up tour of the truck on Sunday, it's as nice underneath as it is up top,
the level of detail is extraordinary.
On another note, the music over at the Rat Rod pavilion was supplied by our own Studebaker driving (60ish Wagon) Rockabilly Scott Binder from Jersey.
There were a lot of Studebakers there...my guess 30-40 scattered all over the place.
I've already book the hotel for next year.
And I picked up some bits for the 53 ta boot.Bill Foy

What a beautiful truck. I appreciate the innovative thinking that went into it, especially the air cleaner & how it mirrors the grille. Great imagination & execution!59 Lark wagon, now V-8, H.D. auto!

UHHH...Sumptin' don't jive here...
"Most unusual feature: Gullwing doors"
Later it says:
"For starters the roof comes off to turn the truck into a roadster."
I see that in the pics. I also see conventionally front-hinged doors. Now if it had a removeable top AND gullwing doors, that would be sumptin!!!KURTRUK
