Bob had to take the loooooooooong way around thru Mojave because the I-5 is shut down due to that truck-tunnel pile up, so he's covering lots more miles than he would have had it not been for that mess. [V]
And in a sorta related note~ my Mother was supposed to be running through there at about the same time that nasty wreck happened. She was on her way down from Everett, WA for my Grandmother's 83rd birthday up in Los Angeles this week.
But as it happened~ my Grandmother fell and (among other things) dislocated her shoulder late last week, so Mom came down just about a week early... [:0]

I just got off the phone with Bob Sporner (63Larkcustom) and he's left Anne Goodman's company and headed my way. This 63 Wagoonaire is gonna yield some parts for Lucy's revival before the day's done.

I would hold off on putting your car on a public road until it is street legal. I think that you are just asking for more problems if you drive it on the street without proper exhaust, plates, etc. I imagine that someone from your HOA would be quick to call the police on you. It may sound like fun, but probably isn't worth the risk.

    Lucy Progress-

Tonight I just finished putting the engine back in her. Still have some connections to make, etc. But it sure looks good in there, everything is all shiny. Can't wait to take her on our first ride. Tomorrow I'm making the run up to Fresno to see Anne and Mr. Biggs and pick up the parts that were given for Lucy. I enjoyed the look on the hoa presidents face when she peeked in while i was lowering the engine. I smiled pushed the door button and she disappeared. I'm thinking a nice run around the neighborhood with the exhaust not connected could be a good thing.. Especially since the car will soon be street legal and there is nothing she can do.

Its good to hear that your about ready for a burn test around the block with Lucy.[8D] I wish you had a camera on the outside of your garage. The expression on the ladies face just after the garage door closed. PRICELESS!
