Bill Jones is a great guy (as noted by Mr. Lester), but a few of those very nice Studes were aquired with GM power under the hood.
And if any of you is coming to McPherson, let me know NOW! The meet motel is running out of rooms because of homecoming at the College, and a Scottish culture festival in a neighboring town.
We also need a good count for the banquet on Thursday, the 11th - or you might go hungry!
(Sorry - didn't mean to hijack the thread)
Willie J's Studes ROCK! Continue admiring them at length.

What did he do with all the removed/rejected Studebaker engines and trannys? Sounds like a good source for snubbed power trains.

Willie J's Studes - pictures
Posting up a few pictures "Willie" sent to me, and their descriptions.
Nice group of cars. - Tom
I have a '60 Hawk with a '95 Corvette LT1 and 700R4 tranny in it. The
LT1 runs good and looks a lot prettier than a LS1 engine does, even
if it doesn't perform quite as good.
I also have a 1953 Stude Coupe that has a Cadillac Northstar set up
in it. I bought it with the engine combo in it from an elderly man
in Florida whose health was failing. Someone had put a stock 700R4
out of a S10 2.9 liter v6 engine. I had to have it gone through and
put the v8 sprags in it, Corvette servos, 10 Vane front pump and all
new clutches etc.
Also have a 50 bullet nose stude that has a lot of modifications done
to it. Good car and consistently scores in the 395 Range at the
Studebaker International meets. I put a new 330 HP HO 350 crate
engine in it and it has the 350 Turbo Tranny with 308 10 Bolt gear
under it. Also has S10 Pickup front clip under it.
In my 64 Lark convertible I installed a 1994 LT1 Injected Chevy
engine with a 700R4 tranny. Used Studie/Chevy front motor mounts
from a 1965 Stude Lark and made my rear tranny mount. Put a 373 Posi
Flanged differential out of a 1965 Daytona Lark and the power train
works very well. The front end is just a big mess.
