  • Pikes Peak Zone Meet

I noticed no one has put up any pics from the Pikes Peak Zone meet in La Junta Colorado. If you didn't go you missed it, some really nice friendly folk. First night we registered and paraded out to the Kishare Indian museum. Had a cowboy supper, provided by the Tractor club.Looked at the museum, And was treated to several tribal
    dances afterwards.
The next day Saturday September 29th, we cleaned up the cars and headed uptown to behind the courthouse for car show.
We had so much fun just looking at each others cars and swapping stories. Later that evening we had the banquet and the awards ceremony. With music provided by the Kitchen Klutter Band. A great time was had by all.

I believe that is a 1954 Packard Series 5431 Std. convertible. Packard also produced a Caribbean convertible that year, but I don't believe that this is a caribbean. 863 of this model were produced, according to Std. Catalog of American Cars.

Why wait? Bring it to McPherson, KS next weekend (the 12th-14th), and have a good time showing it off with our crowd!
I'll send you a registration if you'd like to come!

                    Chris,
We will be in Mesquite, Nevada next weekend. I need a little more time with shorter trips before I venture too far! We were busy today with a neighborhood show and then a cruise night in Golden. Here is a link to the few pictures I took.

                    b-n-s,
Thanks for the info. I thought it was a Packard but wasn't sure of the model. My friend has a really nice 53 Caribbean.
