  • Would have liked to have been at this Estate Sale...

    Boy Howdy!

I get the feeling the seller is (pleasantly) surprised.

    Anyone ever seen one before?

$575 and 26 bids - that's the miracle of eBay. And the seller maybe paid $5 for it an estate sale and it may be totally corroded and require major work.

But, did you notice this "32 Studebaker COE instrument cluster" for $4800? Who was it that said restoring Studebakers was not expensive???

Two completely different scenarios. The dash has a set price that's completely nonsensical; thus nobody bought it. The gauge is an actual auction that started at $9.95, and the price is the result of actual, willing buyers. So, there is no comparison.

If the seller of the dash relists in an auction format with a $9.95 starting bid, we will all get to see what the actual market value of it is- like we are seeing with the gauge.

I always ask the sellers at estate sales if they have any odd or unusual parts and pieces from Grandpa's or dads garage or shop that isn't in the sale, rusty or greasy auto parts and such, usually I get private access to a shed or barn full of the rusty gold the seller has no idea why I would want to buy these items,
