  • another wild one

I went to a car show yesterday and while talking to a friend with a nice 58 silver hawk a guy came up and told the story about how his brother-in-law is going to get one of the 40 ultra rare stainless steel Avanti's that were made in canada and cost 40k new.
Are these the ones with the secret turbocharged/fuel injected 438 ci Packard motors? I guess I should have asked him. He was quite the authority on these cars.

While he's at it, can he pick me up one of the pre-production FI '57 Chevys that got 75 MPG? The government and big oil killed it, you know.

Really funny Dave! I am rolling on the floor laughing at this stuff!

We'll have to add this one to our list along with the guy with the famous '59 Lark 2dr. H/T with the factory installed 352 Supercharged Packard engine, or was it a 374 dual quad supercharged? [:0]

There's a local guy that comes by the shop every couple of years to tell us about his '55 President two seater roadster with the Supercharged Packard V12. Maybe it's the same fella? [)]
