    Studebaker Sightings

During a recent trip to the Phoenix area I came across the following Studebaker at the Martin Auto Museum.

The following 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk I found at a Hot Rod Show in Prescott, AZ on September 14. It was for sale with a wish and prayer price of $42,000.

The following were noted at the Good-Guys Show at the Texas Motor Speedway last weekend.

Why don't people proofread their signs before displaying them?
Examples: "Mode" for Model, "Hosepower" for Horsepower.

Typical for today's society Gary. So many can't spell and apparently it's too much trouble to use spellcheck. The worst of it is that no one seems to care. Not even print and broadcast journalists. Ever look at news graphics on television?

Yes, they bother me nearly every day.
Errors have always seemed to "jump out" at me. I will mark an error in the paper and then Cathy will say something about the article. I tell her that I didn't read the article, I just noticed the error.

Perhaps part of the problem is that the sign maker did use spell-check. "Mode", "hose" and "power" are all words that would have passed. Just reading carefully what one writes is the best proof-reading for those of us who can spell. ........... Getting back on topic, that '31 Studebaker is gorgeous!
