Less than three weeks after agreeing to terms with the National Football League's Jacksonville Jaguars, Andy Studebaker was cut by the club by the team on Sunday, as rosters had to be whittled down to 53 players.
The Eureka High School product, who turns 28 on Sept. 16, was released by Kansas City back in April. He was drafted by Philadelphia in 2008.

I hope he finds another home in the NFL. Nice guy - maybe the Broncos would pick him up. Then I could buy another jersey.

Realistically, it's probably better to retire now with the vested years he has as well as the fact he will have a better chance of long term care with the recent settlement of the Concussion suit if something shows up in the future. If he continues to play, he won't be covered by the settlement.

It's hard to give up a dream but at 28 he's just to old to be a front line player with the number of teams he's played for and not been a starter for long.

It's a tough game in many ways, but dang fun to watch.

Andy Studebaker is just going to follow the lead of Studebaker Corp.

I agree, but I hope he keeps in mind he made it farther than 99.9% of the guys that played high school or collage ball. He had 5 years in the pros, not too bad. And I wonder how much money he made....hopefully enough to let him do whatever he wants to do for the rest of his life without big financial worries. All in all, not too bad.
