I remember seeing something in Turning Wheels a while back about a member who's into vent shades, the (in those days stainless steel) side window visors. I have 'em on my '52 Land Cruiser and would love to find a set for my '60 Lark 4-door. I believe all '55 to '60 "standard" 4-door models ( not President Classic models with rear door wing windows) are the same. Can anyone hook me up??

I have a NOS set that was just returned by a customer who thought she had a 4 dr sedan but realized that it was a Landcruiser when the items arrived & the rears were too short for her car. They are $100. + postage

Auto Ventshade Company of Chamblee, Georgia was bought out by Lund and they no longer manufacture or list the numbers for the Studebaker models. It would be nice if a Ventshade part number list could be assembled. You always see these at swap meets but seldom does the seller know what they fit. The Ventshade part number is stamped in the top outer center.
Let me start:
1947-52 two door Studebakers: S15LF (left front), S15RF (right front). One would assume, if the car was a two door sedan, the rear ventshades would be S15LR and S15RR.
All members who have stainless ventshades installed, what is your year and model and what are the numbers on the ventshades?Last edited by rockne10; 09-06-2013, 03:36 PM.Brad Johnson,

Thanks to the Texas rebel at Studebakersite I now have some very shiny vent shades on my 60 Lark! The part numbers stamped into them are S21RF, for right front, and S21LF, S21RR & S21LR. As far as I know these should be the correct part numbers for all 1953 to 1960 4-door sedans except Presidents and Land Cruisers with rear door vent windows.

I see this is an old thread but nevertheless I have information and a question. Info: For a 1949 Champion 4-door the stainless steel vent shade numbers are S20 LF,RF,RR, LR. Question: How are they installed. They fit between the window glass channel and the door frame. There are 2 small holes along the edge of the vent pieces. For small screws? and into what?
