  • 1962 Daytona for Cheap

For the current bid, this is probably a steal...

IMO - Only " a steal" if you are close enough to pick it up yourself.
BTW - The "VIN" should be 62S..., not "628...".

If that was a 2dr wagon I would be all over it. I need one for parts.

Its a six cylinder, so I'd say the current bid ($375) is about all it will bring when parted out.

If the floor boards are good then it seems a steal to me for the $ as it is a hardtop body. The interior does not look bad. I had a 6 cyl 62 hardtop once and it was a fun car to drive.

I do not think you will EVER find a '62 2 dr. Wagon, it was a very limited Govm't only special order and none are known to exist.

Sal in CA had one I'am not sure if it was a 62 but anything from 59-64 will work for what I need. My life got a little messed up and I let that one slip though my fingers. Just need from the doors back and roof down for what I'am going to do with it. May have to use a 4 dr and section part of the rear doors.

Interior matches a '62 6 Daytona I traded in Cedar Rapids in 1968. Exterior was brown metalic so I'm sure it's not this one. If I wasn't up to my neck in projects, I could get tempted on this one.... Nostalgia does strange things to your logic.
