  • anyone know what these are for

Going through boxes in the shop I came on these and not sure what they are for my guess they fit the early 50's wire wheel used by Chrysler, Packard, Buick, and other big cars , the number stamped inside is 1533283 with letters DG also I have 5 of these in pitted chrome and 4 in copper once I find out what they fit they will be on e-bay or if a member is interested just PM me....thanks

Paint 'em gold and Ossifer Dave will be all over them like a Buzzard on roadkill. Price should be no object.

They almost look like part of some hubcaps. Maybe they came apart in two pieces?

'58 Packard Hawk trunk-mounted imitation spare tire center? Or if not from a Packard, from a Chrysler product, maybe?

Poking around on the Internet, seems these are definitely Chrysler. The part number 1533283 is a Chrysler part number for the center caps on the wire wheel option on the big cars. Chrysler, Dodge, and DeSoto. These would be mid 1950's to about 1961 as far as I can determine.

They are actually for mid to late 1950's Plymouth, Desoto, & Dodge (not Chrysler) cars. They should fit the spoke wheels. I'd be interested in them.
