  • Collector Car Auction To Benefit the Lemay Museum

    Hi All,

I don't know if it's been posted here yet but next weekend - Aug 31st and Sep 1st - is the Fall Classic Auction put on by Lucky Collector Car Auctions. Portions of every sale will go to benefit the Lemay foundation. The auction will be held at Marymount - the Lemay family estate outside of Tacoma where the bulk of the Lemay collection is housed.

There are over 200 cars expected and 30+ lots don't have any reserve.

For you Stude dudes and dudettes, the following might be of interest.

    Saturday August 31st.

    Lot No. 531 - A 1951 Studebaker Pickup

    Sunday September 1st

    Lot 801 - a 1960 Hawk (pillar)
    Lot 808 - a 1963 Avanti (4 spd)
    Lot 830 - a 1948 Champion Regal Convertible
    Lot 735 - a 1937 Dictator 3-window Coupe
    Lot 410 - a 1931 Champion 1:10 scale model.

It's an eclectic mix of cars being auctioned; everything from a stretched limousine to a Lambretta and some cars are over a hundred years old. It should be a good time for all even if one doesn't buy anything.

For more information and information on how to get to Marymount or to register as a bidder visit the auction website at www.luckyoldcar.com

The day before is a car show to benefit the Lemay Foundation...they provide the car to the better-known new Lemay museum. It's held at the Lemay facilities at Marymount. I'll be there with my Bearcat, (I've been asked by a Film car club to display my car with them) please stop by and say hi.
