  • Labor Day Car Show in MN (and a forum challenge!)

On Labor Day (Monday, Sept 2) the North Star Chapter SDC will be holding it's 13th annual Orphan (& still-made) Car Show in Hugo, Minnesota. Everyone in our area (and beyond) is invited. http://www.northstarwheel.com/laborday.html

The challenge to the forum...just for kicks (and potential bragging rights) can you correctly identify all 13 of the orphan makes represented in our graphic above?

                    The "Challenge" revealed

The North Star Chapter had a very successful Labor Day Orphan (and still-made) car show on September 2nd.
Great weather brought out some 270 cars and trucks...over 100 of which were orphan makes. There were a number of unique vehicles such as a stunning very early fire truck, a radical Jeep rat rod, and an early Bronco radical custom....plus a lot of nice Studes, an Essex, Airflow, and more. The kids really enjoyed our Hot Wheels Drag Races and it was good to see some of our local SDC forum members were there (though I didn't have any time to visit much). Here's a link to pics of many of attending vehicles:

Regarding my challenge to name the 13 orphan makes represented in our graphic (see post #1), here is a link to the answer:

I like this '63 Lark Daytona, haven't seen this one before now. Looks like it may be a car I enquired about last year on Craigslist but the owner kept dragging his feet as to when I could come look at it. Irregardless, nice car.
