  • Shameless plug for a few Ebay items

Seein's how the $1000 worth of Turner Brake goodies now hiding in my garage is not likely to fly under the wife's radar I have put a few items up for auction in what will probably be a futile effort to sooth her Italian...er, "response" when the credit card bill arrives.

I know exactly how you feel. Made the mistake of putting the gas grill in the pole barn the last time I used it. While I was out of town over the weekend, someone who will remain nameless decided to have a "cook-out". Needless to say I am now prepping one of my 58 Packards for ebay.

Bob, I wish I knew you had those finned valve covers before you listed them. I love the look they give a motor, and would gladly buy a pair. I might break my anti-ebay stance just to place a bid and see what happens...

Uh oh Jim we might have show down! There likely to leave either of our budgets but if the bidding doesn't go too high I throw my hat in the ring on those.

If I place the first bid, the second bidder will outbid me Much like Bob, I have a spousal unit that keeps me in line. Unlike Bob, if I ever did something like drop a grand on car parts without prior written consent, the next time you'd hear about me on these forums would be in the obituaries section!

Coming up on our 45th anniversary, I have learned three things:

            1. Be aware that "the look" precedes all impending danger.
            2. Maintain the ability to run faster than she.
            3. Sleep lightly.

Bob, just noticed that your driver side headlight is slightly weaker than the passenger side. Better pull it in the shop for a checkup.

Nice parts and good life lessons.
