    I've never seen that trim on a 53-4. I could be wrong so don't take me for the gospel truth. jimmijim

        hi
        thanks for your input. Chances are you both are correct. It came with and matched the side trim on a 55 commander that I owned, so it may be specific to 1955 only.

          It does sorta look like the "butterknife" trim from the right rear quarter of a '55 C or K car.
          No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

            You are correct, it is the butter knife trim for 2 door commander 1955 right rear quarter. That is what it came off of.
