  • paint info

My car is a 55 President coupe, the body number is 6H-C5, serial number 7807138, which means it was built in L.A. if my information is correct. What I'm wondering is where I find the rest of the info on my car- paint numbers, interior info, etc. I've already checked over the glovebox to see if the build sheet was there with no luck. It could be somewhere behind the dash, but I haven't found it. The car has original paint as far as I can tell, and it looks like cascade green below with chasta white above [going by paint chips on the web] although I don't see this combo on the 2-tone list. Thanks

The Studebaker National Museum has the build order for you car and will, for a fee, send you copy.

      Welcome!
Your car WAS assembled in Vernon (LA) California.
It is a 1955 President State Coupe.
The paint name/code label would have been attached to the exterior, bottom of the glove box. It would not be unusual for it to be missing after all of these years.
As mentioned, you can get a build sheet for your car from the SNM which will give you much information.
