    I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS ON REPAIRING THE PRESENT NON WORKING MECHANICAL AVANTI CLOCK OR CONVERTING IT TO A QUARTZ MOMENT ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR THEIR 1963 AVANTI CLOCK ?

    Some years ago I sent 3 clocks from my Avanti, Hawk & Daytona to be changed to a quartz movement. I still have to mount 2 of them but to this day the Hawk clock works perfectly. I believe he had an ad in Hemmings.

      If you are going to send it out to convert to quartz anyway, why not pull it apart first and see if cleaning the points doesn't return it to its original function.
