  • Pictures from the Factory

The great pic of the 64 Marshal reminded me that I love pics from the factory including prototypes etc. The 57 ambulance was another. So, if a thread has not been started in the past I would like to start a new one titled "pics from the Factory".

I received a few pictures from a gentleman who worked on the assembly lines but later became an over the road hauler. The first picture shows a load of 57s being loaded for shipment. I will add one or two each week. Hopefully others will dig through their albums and shelves.

Here is the second picture. Would anyone like to go out to the lot and pick out their vehicle?

I can see a couple of Hawks and at least two pickups. Hope there wasn't any salt on the ground when that snow fell.

Great pictures. I have never seen them before.I hope you will post more! Most of the pictures I have are assembly line photos that have been published is books and magazines, but I do have these snapshots that I think were taken at the Hamilton plant in 1965. Maybe these people were buying a Studebaker at the plant.

This one is a factory photo taken around 1950

Yes, I noticed that also. The driver is too busy getting his picture taken. He probably left keys in car also.

I do have others and some production prototype pics that never made it to the books or production. Thanks for posting.

Yeah, I'll take the red hardtop Lark at the front of the car carrier. Oh, and I'd like the Deluxe wheel covers, please
