    Some info on outside mirrors for cars circa 1948.

    That's cute, when they re-issued and updated the Strato-Vu to it's '63-64 version, they renamed it from the old '47-'52 Strato-Vu style and name to Strato-Vue.

    I never could see the Stratosphere in either one of 'em however!

      I never understood how that Stratoline design was OK'd for production. It's an excellent likeness of a slug. Probably the worst looking mirror base on the planet.

        Anyone have the Studebaker "Universal Mirror" currently installed (or not)? I kinda like the shape of the head.

          I agree, I find the universal mirror attractive looking. I do prefer the updated Strato-Vue styling much more.
