Well, since no one questioned, "Why is he going to Indiana?"

      • Well another day down and another big adventure with the Whistler. Had a wild hair up my back end and decided to go to Southbend to help complete the circle of The Whistler unfortunately the administration building was locked Up couldn’t pull warranty paper work on The Whistler. Stopped off at the museum took a picture of Chuck Naugal‘s plaque Made a quick trip out to Jim Maxis place and then back into Chicago Overall great weather and great day

              • Looks like John had plenty of help getting his Lark in position, but I do not recognize the "Driver", who is that?

                • BobPalma Finally gets to meet the Whistler!

After 56 years, it was only fitting that Bob Palma get to take a bottle of shoe polish and dress up The Whistler as she was first seen on the drag strip..

Its really quit amazing how this is History in the making. There are many "Muscle" Cars there, but only One Whistler that has defied the doom of being turned into a foreign car or toaster. Only to survive and make it all the way back to being a real car again.

Here studejohn is being interviewed for a TV show..

The old adage is “The devil is in the details,” but sometimes the details are what make something ordinary, extraordinary..

Finding all the NOS parts to make it perfect is one thing, but adding those details that didn’t come from the factory are well..., “the cherry on the top.”

Yes, the license plate frame is a Ray Tanner dealer frame but more importantly is the 1963 license plate itself.

This just so happen to belong to J.R. Bloom, the man who was so interested in this car that, while his passion to photograph racing, took an interest in photographing the Whistler in particular.

A special thank you J.R. Bloom and his family for making this even more special.

                      • With the start of this thread on 3/25/2013 and now today what a journey of time smiles and tears this has been. I have been just an observer but wow, what a great effort has been done by John and his entire family and friends.

Don't forget John, you did offer me a back seat ride! In the interest of balance!
