I first saw Jim Davis in the TV series, Stories of the Century, which was the first western to win an Emmy. He could play both good and bad guys very well.

I watched an episode of Bonanza yesterday. Jim was in Virginia City playing a crooked Horse trader trying to beat Ben and Hoss out of a string of Horses.

'Sorry to say, here is a 2011 photograph taken from exactly the same vantage point as the earlier photo with the Cross Country along side. In this photo, you see the north end of the curb cut for the drive to the used car lot that was on the north side of the building. (In the earlier photo, you see the south side of that same curb cut):

He is (or was now that he's almost 80) quite a tough guy.
Jim Davis was a customer of my fatyer-in-law's business back in the day...along with another old cowboy actor named Reagan.
Davis also starred in a late 50s TV show called Rescue 8....a pre-Emergency rescue show that was before my time.
