  • 2016 International Meet Location?

I seem to remember that the 2016 International is to be held in the Northeast, but I can't remember for sure and I can't find a reference to it. Help?

Tentatively the 2016 International meet will be held in Warwick, Rhode Island according to the information I have.

Yes, in Warwick RI. Jane Ash said at York that the contracts haven't been all signed yet, but barring any unforeseen issues, it's a go!

Thanks guys. Great Forum for quick answers.
I'll be looking forward to that one having lived just south of Warwick for two years a long time ago.

Warwick is a beautiful, interesting city. The area offers many opportunities for things to do. Great idea!

South Bend, while not set in stone, is a reliable five year recurrence; sort of like your high school reunion.

Omaha had the best night viewing of the cars the lights were perfect, one could stay out there all night if he or she wanted.

Being an Omaha native, I was heartbroken that I had to miss the Omaha nationals. Alas, I was a newlywed living in Minnesota, working in a job that was merciless and stingy with time off. I heard a lot of amazing stories though. Hopefully they won't make everyone wait 40 years to come back - I'd love to help facilitate one of these things.

That nice parking lot in Omaha is now a water park if I recall. Am I correct Frank?

Correct Denny. Right after the Omaha meet a waterpark was built at the Holiday Inn Central using the very parking lot we used for the concourse. While not impossible, coming up with both an affordable and suitable venue in central Omaha would now be difficult, besides we are still resting up from the 2006 meet. LOL If there ever is to be another International in Omaha Jim C. could chair it, as we,the old guard that organized it then will be permanently attending that great Studebaker car show and swap meet in the heavens by that time! We appreciate the positive comments we get to this day about our meet though.

I love the fact that there will be two National Meets in the East, Dover, Delaware and Warwick R.I. That's a pleasant surprise. I'll be at both of them.
