If you installed a transmission of any operable sort, you would probably do pretty well. Without it, I honestly have no clue. If I find someone willing to take my non-op Larks at scrap value I'll be singing to the bank.

Man, I seriously wish you weren't a couple thousand miles away. I know a guy with a transmission that would bolt in, and I love that car. I don't have a place to put it, time to work on it, or tools to do the work, and I'm still interested.

Did you place an ad in TW yet? Every member in good standing gets a free 25 word ad per year, if I recall.

That's a good question. I know I'll be watching your auction.
(if she's still a 'no sale' I won't be back up North until April...)

Without a working tranny, I don't think the result of an Ebay attempt would be all that good. The cost of transport goes up some if the car is not operational doesn't it? I think it would really be worth your while to put a working tranny in the car and then post on Ebay.

Kind of what I have been thinking. I'm just going to keep Craigslisting it. And leave it out on the driveway with the big ole sign in the window. Just be patient about it.

                    Thanks!

Me too. The buyer says that he plans to fully restore it! He has been wanting a Studebaker for a while.

                      That's AWESOME!

I'm delighted your car is going to a good home. I think a little amount of work and it should be a great car.

Is the buyer an SDC member yet? Have you told him to come say hi on the forums yet?

As am I. He said he will drive by once he is finished with it so that I can take pictures. His main concern with the car is the floors which need to be replaced.

He is not a member yet, that I know of. I know that he saw the decal in the windshield. So maybe he will stop by.
