(From left) Clem, Peter, Henry, Jacob, and John. Clem and Henry are the true founding fathers of Studebaker because they founded H&C Studebaker Blacksmith Shop in 1852.

I have talked with two of those four and met with the children of the other two.
The picture with the clay model is interesting because it shows the more fastback rear and the wheel well arches/flares.
I have one of the original drawings that were on the wall of the Palm Springs "studio" (as in the background of the first picture).

I'm drawing a blank as to the name, but the guy who always has the pipe in the photos, I've met his son. He just got an Avanti and joined the SDC and AOAI and is restoring his car. Very nice guy, I probably talked to him for about 45 minutes around Thanksgiving.

The Andrews "kids" shared some good insights about their father and finding the clay model when they talked with the Avanti group at the SNM during the meet in August. We also had the Family night tickets, but the banquet and speakers ran long so we did not hit the second event that night. The program at the SNM was great with the Andrews children, Dan Booth and Jon Meyer. The SNM, trying to accommodate everyone that wanted to attend, really had us packed in the atrium area, making it extremely "cozy" for all. I believe Lew Schucart taped the program also.

I would love to see a tintype photograph of them standing around a clay mockup model of a wheelbarrow....
Something tells me that they did not have the need, or desire, to pose for many pictures.
                They just built stuff....Good stuff...

Yes, the speakers were worth the cost of the event/evening. The dinner wasn't. There shouldn't have been that many people packed in the SNM. I wonder if they violated fire regulations. We were seated near the food, but they started food service from the other end of the room. The food vendors ran out of some of the food items before we even got up for the first time for some food. The food service should have ben set up in more than one location for that many people (like at both ends of the room). Also, the food providers should have had enough food on hand for the number of people that paid for dinner.

That is the 'Loraymo', based on a Lancia from around 1960.
