I just sent an email to Bob's account... maybe someone is monitoring it, and will respond.

    Edit:

No posts for days from a normally very active forum participant... email and private message discussions left unanswered... a much too relative/timely news article...phone disconnected... email rejected.

    Reality sucks.

Never met you, Bob, but we had a friendship, nonetheless.

RIP, friend... you are one of the nice guys!

The dead pilot is not related to Robert W. Glasscock of Lubbock, who is the same age.

Don't know if it is OUR "Bob Glasscock", but see the following especially the comment a user (a son) posted about his father:

    Rest in Peace, Bob Glasscock

I'm sick to my stomach right now. I've been wondering where our friend and assistant moderator Bob Glasscock has been lately. His last post was 11-06-2012 at 07:46 AM. He and I had a pretty active email discussion about upcoming SDC elections, and I thought it strange that the email visits ceased about the same time. I attempted to call him a few minutes ago, and his phone has been disconnected. So, I goggled him, and found this:

Report: Fatal crash came at landing

A Lubbock man was trying to land his airplane at an Oklahoma airport when it crashed, according to a preliminary report on the accident.
Robert Edgar Glasscock, 62, was killed when his Piper Cherokee crashed during a second attempt to land at the Anadarko Municipal Airport Nov. 6.

Glasscock took off, climbed and started to circle the airport for a second attempt. According to the NTSB report, as Glasscock turned for the runway, the airplane went into an extreme bank and suddenly went down.

I have tried to find an obit online, but have had no luck.

I remember the news accounts of the accident, but did not make the connection.

I pray Bob is OK, and reports in.
