  • Lionel Stone

I was moving onto the engine portion of my plans to restore my 53 hardtop and wanted to get a little more out of the 232. Many years ago I met Lionel and he was a very cool guy and I always thought if I had the opportunity to do business with him I would. I've been out of the Stude world for a number of years and only now finding out about his tragic accident. I hope he is doing well.

Lionel has relocated to Bellingham, Washington. He is now a member of the Whatcom County SDC.

Just about a month ago he was at our IDYSD event at the Bell's Studebaker Museum and Diner...

    (that's him on the right)

Maybe I'll see him next weekend at our Annual BurgerBurn?

Thanks for the update Dave. I'm glad to know he's alive and kicking. When you see him again, let him know there are still people around wishing him well. If he's got any tips for my ol 232, I'd surely like to hear them.

I still have a company notepad he sent with an order. I think of him everytime I open my Stude cupboard in the garage.
