It was a very fun car to drive and it was styled like no other car I had ever owned (mustang fastback). I always admired the hawk at the end of my paper route daily. I suppose I never thought I could afford a car like that. Well years later I was able to get that Hawk and it is now the coolest car I will ever own. I never got mustang tattooed on my body but my avatar is the is the Hawk wings with K-Hawk below it tattooed on my calf.. Remember Kathy my wife rode with me to Texas to drive back my cruiser sight unseen 10 years ago. I have also owned a corvette, several dodges, Chevys, Buicks,Fords,Fiats, Audi's, a cool firebird (very fast car) and several other brand x . Have you ever owned anything other than a Studebaker. I actually do own a 2000 mustang and a ford focus and Chevy pick up right now, not counting the cruiser or my parts Hawk. jeep and mark 8 I am keeping for the engine. \See it's really not a bother

That would look sweet if you put a 53-56 C/K (studebaker) rear clip on it! Someone forgot to photoshop the lower body line that goes from the door to the fender and remove the 'showroom glare' from the hood. Was the 'artist' a Ford guy dreaming of stude looks and power, or a Stude guy switching to the dark side?

Also, I think a 64-66 lark-type front end would better match the more boxy look of the 'stang, but that's just me.

Can you just imagine the arguments over who made the 289 in that thing?!

You hit it 100%. I like it, it just doens't flow.

Or to use an old saying...The front end designers and the back end designers didn't know what each other was doing (or perhaps they never met). Rather like a 61-2 Corvette.
