This should be easy. My first time w/ a 6cyl Lark. Current spark plugs are Autolite 437, but based on the tailpipe, its running too rich. What spark plugs are recommended for use in this motor? Also, who has the plug and coil wire set available? SI doesn't list it.

If it is truly running rich, changing spark plugs won't help, you need to look at servicing and perhaps changing jet sizes in the carburetor. Some easy things to check for; is your air cleaner clean? Is your car burning oil? Is the choke sticking? How often does it get driven, and does it get out on the highway at speed very often? Try running some good ol' carburetor cleaner through the carb first.

A really BIG improvement in driveability, fuel economy and dependability is to change your Carter RBS (round tin float bowl) as used on '63S-'64S to a '61-'62 Carter AS Carb. 3159S, 3160S, 3161S, 3370. 3372S, 3186S a much better Carb.StudeRich
