Posted serial numbers for car and body say '61...but the pix are clearly of a '60, though the decklid looks '61. Wonder what's up here?

The '61 Decklid and '61-'62 Steering Wheel do not a '61 make! The tag and plate must have been switched.
My guess is it's a Canadian 1960 Lark.
The right side looks like it could have '61 body side Mouldings and does have a Fender Skirt.
Maybe it has a '61 front fender from the "donor" Car of the Serial Number Plate, so to finish the RIGHT side, they added the matching Door and Rear 1/4 Mouldings.

Looks like a 61=62 steering wheel, the nose is the same in 59-60 although it has 60 park light housings. The 59-60 steering sucks, so why not change it? You never really know ABOUT SOME OF THE KEY THINGS TO LOOK FOR unless you pay attention while cutting them in half and selling the metal. Stupid parts interchange 59-61.
One hard thing to change is that windsheild, roof and brake pedals.
