  • Forum get togather?

Did I miss a post about us Forum Members getting togather sometime, somewhere?
It would be great to put a face to some of you, maybe not others!

I see that there is a "Electronic Newsletter" Meeting on Tues. July 31, at 10:35 to 11:25 at the Doubletree Hotel.

I do not believe that is us though. It must be those people who prefer paperless Turning Wheels?

I agree Rich. I won't be there until Weds, so hope it is later in the day on Wednesday or later.

While I haven't heard any rumors if or where or when we can get together I remember the last time we met at bob40's space outside and had sandwiches. Electronic newsletter meeting is for editors of paperless Chapter newsletters. Rich, while I have seen your face several times before I wouldn't mind seeing it again! GGG

      I arrived in SB today.

I had the pleasure of meeting Chris Dresbach and his mother this afternoon while we were both at the Museum admiring the Woody! While that is not as many forum members as you all are likely to gather, it is something!

Be more than happy to again let any and all hang out at my swap spaces .
I rented 7 just like last time so there is plenty of space.
Use it for a get together or a place to just hang out. Doors always open.

From the tone of the SDC President thread, it sounds like there will be a Forum get-together at the Board of Directors Meeting Monday!

It is open for all to attend and listen in, if they so desire. BP

I am casually making my way to South Bend. Stopped in at George Reitenour's to pick up a watch, and happened across Stephen Cade and his sister Martha sitting alongside the highway with an overheating diesel truck. Martha is driving her Strato Blue 64 Hawk and Stephen is towing his dads old 51 Champion. Both cars are two of the nicest ones in their collection. Steve said that if it weren't for unavoidable vapor lock he would park the truck and drive the bullet nose. Either way they will be there at their first IM in several years.

I'm staying the night with a friend in Kentucky and will convoy with him to SB tomorrow, him with a super nice Super Hawk. His car took best of division last year so we'll see how it does at its second SDC national. We plan to arrive around 2pm or so. Btw, I have three spaces inside and everyone is welcome to stop by, say hi, and buy something.

Heidi the Starlight Stainless Schnauzer is along for the ride and having fun too.

I guess you spotted me before I realized it was you coming in gate 2 as I was pulling out Matt. Wasn't looking for a van I guess.

I think it is a great idea of the NG members getting together, and hope someone comes up with a plan. I can attend anytime other than Wednesday eve, which is the 56J Only get together time.

If I know my way around SB I would offer a proposal, as to time and place, but we're having to use the GPS to get to the motel there tonight

A get together sounds fun to me, just say time and place. I purposely left my schedule open. I am in Room 439 at the host hotel.
