  • Studebaker (Safeway?) sign on ebay

I've never seen a Studebaker sign like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-1940...item231df565a8
    Have you?

Looks like a Safeway grocery store sign to me.

That's because it has nothing to do with Studebaker...other that the letter "S".
Just like all the hundreds of Stant gas cap Ebay ads.....

What Jeff said, but I have seen that somewhere just recently (again, not Studebaker-related). If I think of it, I'll edit my post. BP
We've got to quit saying, "How stupid can you be?" Too many people are taking it as a challenge.

      Ayn Rand:
"You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality."

      G. K. Chesterton: This triangle of truisms, of father, mother, and child, cannot be destroyed; it can only destroy those civilizations which disregard it.

Yes, that's a Safeway ceramic from the 50s or 60s. They used to bolt them to the front of grocery carts.

That particular sign has been listed before, always as a Studebaker item.
I email the seller each time, and tell him it's a Safeway sign.
          He never listens.

Well, its got bids and there is no reserve mentioned, so somebody is going to own it. My brother and I were discussing that Safeway sign a few days ago.
