Engine color is green. You can order the correct engine paint from Chuck Collins: https://www.studebakerparts.com/stud..._id=9966.28264

The 1934 Commander uses a C prefix for the engine number. The engine # range is C20001 to C30500. Yes the Commander was a model B and the President a model C but those model designations do not carry over to the engine numbers (don't ask me why). The serial no. range for your '34 Commander would be 8045001 to 8102999 (look on the serial plate on the left front frame rail under the drivers side fender). In any event you definitely need to join the Antique Studebaker Club:

Need help with engine paint....correct color and where to buy it. Also question regarding vin number on left side off block..in this car which is original, enrestored, purchased from original buyers family with 38, 450 miles the engine number starts with the letter C which I thought was used to designate the President model and the letter B designated the Commander model and letter A designated the Dictator model...first Studebaker. I have owned so really new to me..thanks for any help. Ray
