  • Found in barn!

Actually it was not lost, just sleeping for a few years! I helped a friend get his '47 Commander up and running; it belonged to his late father who had it cosmetically restored about 20 years ago. It will be used for his daughter's wedding in June. This my first chance to drive a Commander from this era-and I was not disappointed-what a ride!

I didn't realize that Ingvar had passed away. When did that happen?

Hopefully its an 'oops' on my part. He was/is the only one I know with a '47 Commander convertible in the WA area. I'm sure someone can confirm this, then.....

Saw the Hops posts and the mountains in the background along with that beautiful clear sky and thought to myself looks like Yakima. Then I looked over at your signature info and Yep! Yakima alright!
Will miss the Vintiques Rod Run for only the second time in 30 years, as we will be in South Bend that weekend.

Just to clarify, it was an 'oops' on my part, but not exactly 'hopefull'. It was Ramona, Ingvar's wife of 24 years who passed away, as was confirmed by my ASC Review which I received yesterday.
