  • Deep-N-Hock Follies - May 2012

After working on some intake manifolds from just before sunup....
Cut out some paper dolls..... Taped 'em to the dash....
Did a dozen layouts on the dash....
    Settled on this layout...
    Gonna drill holes soon!

How will you possibly have time to look at 10 gauges in a 1/4 mile?

Where did you get a clean dash like that?

Thinking about trimming down the side plates a bit.
The NASCAR shape is a bit 'boxy'.
                    How does this shape look?

Make it match the slope of the hood.

Now I understand your choice of the earlier style dash. Just not enough room to position all those gauges where you wanted them in the GT style.

Secondly, You realize that there were probably thousands of hours of computer time invested in designing those winglets to stop spilling air off the sides of the wing while maximizing downforce and reducing weight and wind resistance. So if you're losing traction getting to the top end, just say the engineers were right!!

All that said, I agree with Matt: match the hood profile.

                        As usual, Nice work!!

Here's what I ended up with.....(Engineers be damned! I want to be stylin!)

Sort of a stubby '61 Hawk fin

I like it Jeff. Sort of pays homage to your first car.

                              Sigh.......
After holding out for a long time, I succumbed to the smart-phone siren call.
My company wants all of us on smart-phones, and suggested the I-Phone.
My contract date was up and they tossed me a 'We'll give you $50 off' and then hit me with a $30 upgrade charge, a $30 a month data plan, a $25 car charger, a $40 weather/shock/scratch cover, and offered me an 'insurance policy' for $25 a month that has a $175 deductible.....
But that's pretty much the norm for smart-phones, and I did say it was subsidized?
                              But.....
I need an App that allows me to easily sort pic's and video's into files and transfer them to my laptop.
Any decent Apps out there to do that?
I see a ton for free stuff out there, but it is so .......
I need to be guided around the smart-phone thing like a newbie
