The car is NLA, so did it sell or did our discussion hurt his feelings?

I'd like to have seen it in person, as the photos didn't hurt my eyes as bad as they did for some here.

This car was chatted up on the forum several months ago....
Hope it finds a compassionate owner.
Some plastic surgery, even if nicely done, makes you wonder what was wrong with the boobs in the first place?

That "restyling" looks odd to my eye (to say the least) and the side view loses all of the grace of the original. The front makes the whole cart look stubby while changing the long hood short deck that makes the Avanti appeaing to me. And what's up with the side strake? It looks as if Raymond Loewy's love of excess ornamentation is being morphed. That said, the interior and paint appear to be very nicely done.

Relisted with a $22,900 BIN. I really think that he will have to find a non-Studebaker/Avanti person at that price. I had been thinking $10K.

A recent 4.5 magnitude earthquake was attributed to Raymond Lowey rolling over in his grave.

Relative to its width I always thought the Avanti was built on too long of a wheel base. Adding this "nose up in the air" looking front end only adds to the problem. The front end of an Avanti is its most distinctive feature. From the side and back there are other cars with similar design. That said the execution of the alteration doesn't look too bad. Good effort, wrong project.

I like Avanti's as they are but lots of my friends don't.
This attempt to change the car doesn't offend me either.
                        I like good work. so.........?

Let me be honest and say what is on most peoples mind here. The car looks like an abortion.
